Meet Your Driving Instructor

My name is Duncan Baxter.  I passed my test in 1983 at the age of 17.  I am married with two teenage children.   My wife is a childminder and we both know how important it is to be a safe and good driver. 

I have always loved driving and my wife thought that I’d make a good instructor.  That’s how it started.  My trainer had the highest rating from Ordit (Official Register of Driving Instructors Training), so I got first class instruction which I will be able to pass onto you. I expect a bit of commitment, but remember, I’m calm and patient.   So if you're anxious or nervous, try not to worry.  You’ll soon gain confidence with each lesson.

I have lived in Forfar for most of my life and like driving on the surrounding country roads.  Unfortunately it is these roads where statistically most fatal accidents occur.  While the primary aim is for you to pass your test, I will teach you to drive responsibly on all roads including country roads as well as in town.
